Holmes Eyes The All New Abarth 500 Trofeo GB For 2010 | 25.11.07 | 10.14 Ilkley's Chris Holmes, fresh from a successful year in Formula 4 which saw him take 8 race wins, was invited to take part in the Tropheo ABARTH GB Championship launch at Silverstone recently. The Abarth 500 Trofeo GB will be a new, one-make Championship in 2010, based on the successful European model. The series will be supporting a plethora of high-end motorsport, including the British rounds of such international series at the World Touring Car Championship and DTM, as well as the nation's foremost two-wheeled action, the British Superbikes. "I really enjoyed driving the car" said Chris after his first taste of the Abarth. "It is very different to anything I have raced before, but it didn't take me long to feel quite at home. The weather made it tricky to really push the car, and to be honest the aim of the day was to just get a feel of what the Abarth and the Championship have to offer.
