Chris shows solid pace at Brands test | 04.07.07 | 09.35 Chris enjoyed a solid test at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit yesterday, the Formula Renault UK driver ended the day ninth on combined times. Chris showed consistently solid pace throughout the morning and afternoon test runs to end the day with a best lap of 45.142 seconds This put Chris him ninth fastest during the morning, but just 0.31 of a second off the quickest lap of the day, Chris and the AKA Cobra team improved the car over the day, and went on to set the 8th best lap during the slower afternoon test with a time of 45.579 seconds, again only 0.3 off P1. “I am happy with today, i learn every time i drive, i could have found more on my new tyres, but whats good is we made changes and went foward”, said Chris “I have had a bit of bad luck recently so its important to keep pushing and stay positive, the more track time i get the better my driving becomes, hopefully we can be in the fight for podiums for the rest of the year.” The Formula Renault UK championship will resume at Donington Park National Circuit in Leicestershire in just under two weeks from now on 14th/15th July. The official testing will take place on Thursday, 12th July. << back to news
