Holmes Sweeps The Board Again | 26.08.09 | 15.10
Yorkshire Racing Driver Chris Holmes Dominates Formula 4 At Silverstone

Ilkey's Chris Holmes dominated the latest round of the British Formula 4 once again. The young, Yorkshire racing driver made another clean sweep taking pole position, the race win and fastest lap at the event held at Silverstone. This brings his race win tally up to 4 for the 2009 season.

Holmes comfortably took pole position for the 24 car grid and made a strong start, from which he never looked back. A textbook drive saw him bag the win in convincing style, with a winning margin of over 20 seconds. His amazing pace saw him not only take the fastest lap but break the Formula 4 lap record of Silverstone by half a second.

"That's the perfect result!" said Chris. "It not only keeps me in Championship contention but keeps me in the sights of the various driver development programmes and scholarships available which I believe to be the most viable route for young drivers in today's climate. I'll continue to race the season with dedication and hope that continuing to bring home the results will be rewarded."

Chris would like thank his sponsors, Hanline Associates, Nuffield Health and Fitness, Skins Products, and all those involed in Chris's career for making this season possible.
