Yorkshire's Rising Star of Motorsport, Chris Holmes Set To Compete in America

Yorkshire hotshoe Chris Holmes is heading to America this year in his quest for motorsport glory.

The 21 year old from Ilkley, who has racked up successful seasons in Formula BMW and Formula Renault, is racing Stateside in 2008 in the Skip Barber National Championship, a leading single seater series in the USA. The season is a seven-weekend, 14-race championship, all run as primary support events at major motorsports race weekends including ALMS, Champ Car and Grand-Am so exposes Chris to the very best the American paddocks have to offer.

The move to the American series is easy to understand given the outstanding prize for the Champion, a fully funded drive in the 2009 Star Mazda series worth over £175,000! As Chris's new mantra goes "I'm going for the win!".

"This is a very exciting challenge and I am looking forward to it" says Chris. "The Championship is very competitive which is hardly surprising given the overall prize!".

Secondly, the favourable exchange rate makes this an opportunity not to be missed as Chris, like so many sports people, relies on sponsorship and the strong pound helps stretch the valuable pounds. Chris is supported by Bridford Financial Solutions, Hanline Associates, Physiocure, JWPC Ltd and the Bluefin Group, and would warmly welcome further sponsors, at all levels, to join him in this exciting campaign.
